Guidance and Support
Attention to detail
Our clients are always our first priority
Professional expertise, a high level of service and value for our clients
Serving our clients
We have a responsibility to provide the highest possible service for our clients of which there are two aspects:
Firstly, the quality of the legal advice we provide.
Secondly, how we conduct that legal advice — do we explain, encourage and achieve their expectations ?
To ensure that our systems and training are of the highest standard and that we actually deliver a quality service, we have achieved Lexcel status – this is the Law Society’s quality mark for excellence in legal practice management and excellence in legal client care. Since it was introduced, little more than 10% of solicitors in the UK have achieved this distinction. In addition to Lexcel, we also have eight Law Society accreditations.
Comments from Lexcel’s annual appraisal –
“One of the best firms I have seen”.
“The firm give their clients very detailed and clear advice in plain English”.
“Thomas Dunton Solicitors is a well run practice with highly motivated staff members who take great pride in their work and in providing high levels of client care. Simply outstanding”.

You can either call in to our local office or telephone, knowing you will be able to speak to the person handling your case and not a call centre.

What do our clients think of us ?
Good intentions alone are not sufficient to provide the legal help that people need. Only the client can say if we actually provided the degree of service, in all aspects, that they required.
For this reason we ask every client to complete a “Client Satisfaction Survey” which covers all the features of their case from value for money to whether their expectations were met.
The replies are anonymous and therefore likely to be completely honest. Any adverse comments or trends are investigated and appropriate action taken.
Here are the responses to four of our questions, covering a two year period:
How satisfied were you with our overall service?
85% of our clients were extremely satisfied and 15% satisfied.
Would you recommend Thomas Dunton to a colleague, friend or family member?
94% of our clients said they would and 6% said they probably would.
Were you able to understand any advice/information given to you?
76% of our clients found the information very easy to understand and 24% quite easy.
Did we give you realistic advice as to the outcome of your case?
78% of our clients were extremely satisfied and 22% were satisfied.
Overall, 77.4% of clients were “extremely satisfied” and 22.3% were “satisfied” with the service we provided.
A full breakdown of responses to all the questions can be found here on our website.
