Motivated by client satisfaction, the firm’s growth into a thriving dynamic business is based on recommendation and referral with a commitment to providing clear, straightforward and cost effective legal advice.

Lexcel Accreditation

Thomas Dunton has secured the distinquished national Law Society’s law management quality mark, Lexcel.

Since this mark of excellence was introduced, little more than 10% of solicitors in the UK have acquired the distinction. Firms who apply undergo a rigorous examination before they receive the award and are checked each year to ensure standards are being maintained.

Whether a legal problem is straight forward or complex, Lexcel accreditation gives an assurance that a practice meets high client care and business management standards.

At our last inspection, the Lexcel Assessor said, “One of the best firms I have seen…and I have seen some very large firms.”

A Local Lawyer

Our offices are conveniently based in High Street, Orpington, Kent with excellent access from further afield via the M25.

We have been serving the public for over 35 years with clients throughout the Borough of Bromley and Kent including the local towns of:

Peter Zelnik & Co. Solicitors

Due to ill health, the firm of Peter Zelnik Solicitors, based in Biggin Hill, has closed and Thomas Dunton have agreed to look after the documents left with them including Wills, Powers of Attorney, correspondence, court documents and other important items, in their fireproof safe until requested.

Whilst Thomas Dunton Solicitors are not formally taking over the business, and are not therefore a “successor” to the practice,  we would be pleased to hear from any of their clients with any legal enquiry.

Peter Zelnik were delighted that our firm  could asist them as they considered us, like them, to be “a friendly, local practice who are able to offer you a more personal service than larger, call-centre type lawyers”.

We hope this website will provide you with some helpful guidance on legal issues and if you have any comments, suggestions or enquiries, we would be delighted to hear from you.

Vernon Hadida, a senior partner at Thomas Dunton, and Clive Bull, host of LBC’s Legal Hour, held another very successful programme in the series on Monday evening when members of the public phoned in with their legal problems. During the live broadcast,Vernon answered many interesting and varied questions from listeners. For Thomas Dunton, being able to hear concerns and views from the general public is a great way to keep in touch with how people view the legal profession, what the main issues are and how we can reach out and help.

Since joining the programme, we now offer free monthly talks in local libraries and to various groups on a variety of legal subjects that affect us all such as Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Inheritance Tax, Care Home fees. etc.
