Around a third of Britons will not leave all their wealth to their children because of fears they will lose half of it in a messy divorce, according to a study by Investec Wealth and Investment. Instead, there is a growing trend for assets to be left to grandchildren, according to the research. The study also reveals that January is the peak season for divorce inquiries to lawyers.
