What to do if you’ve suffered a Road Traffic Accident

    June 7, 2010

If you have suffered injuries as a result of a Road Traffic Accident (RTA) in the last 3 years, then you may be able to bring a Personal Injury Claim.

It is important that you immediately do the following:

    1. Make a note of the date, time and location of the accident and the weather conditions; take photographs of and draw a sketch of the scene of the accident (marking direction of travel of both cars and any skid marks); note damage to cars involved and write a Statement of the events; keep a detailed note of your injuries, their duration and any treatment you receive; where possible also photograph your injuries.
    2. Take full details of the other driver, the makes and models of cars involved, any witnesses, the Police (if they attend the scene) including crime reference and PC number.
    3. Keep a detailed record of any medical expenses and appointments (including times, dates and where you attend), any time you had to take off work (including the actual loss of earnings you have suffered), any financial loss you may have suffered in relation to the damage to your car, any State Benefits which you receive as a result of the accident and any Care which has been provided to you as a result of your injuries; keep receipts and other proof of these matters.

Our experienced, specialist Solicitors take individual care of our clients. We offer “No Win, No Fee” Agreements and you retain 100% of your compensation.
