A former Royal Marine has sued the Ministry of Defence (MOD) for his noise-induced hearing loss. Mr Inglis served for 15 years, but left his employment in 2012 after having concerns about the deterioration in his levels of hearing.

The MOD have admitted that Mr Inglis’ hearing loss is a result of his negligent exposure to noise whilst serving in the Royal Marines’ but argues that he left his employment of his own doing.

Mr Inglis has sued for £1.3 million in compensation. The case continues.
