In an unprecedented decision by an employment tribunal, 10 homecare workers have received an average settlement of £10,000, after a judgement ruled in their favour. The homecare workers argued that travelling and waiting up to 60 minutes between appointments should be treated as work time. The tribunal agreed, which now means that thousands of care staff across the UK could also argue the same.
