We are a nation of animal lovers and certainly the case of Ant McPartlin and his ex-wife Lisa Armstrong demonstrate this. They have drawn up an agreement to share custody of their dog Hurley to allow both to have access to him.

A pet is often considered to be part of the family and so deciding who gets custody can often be a sensitive topic. The law states that a pet is considered as an item of personal property and to minimize upset and further distress we suggest that negotiations are dealt with in a pragmatic way.
