Singer George Michael, who died in December 2016, left both his lover and former partner out of his Will. Court papers issued on May 30th show that his estate, worth an estimated £97.6 million, will be divided between his two sisters, his father and his close friends.

Fadi Fawaz, George Michael’s lover at the time of his death, still resides in the Regent’s Park house owned by the deceased and refuses to leave, stating that Mr Michael had bequeathed it to him.

Disputes over Wills are more common than people think; with an increase of 6% in 2018 according to HM Courts and Tribunals. This increase is thought to be owing to the complexities of family life, houses being worth more and the rise of dementia.
