A survey conducted by Adzuna has found that 44% of UK workers fear that their jobs are under threat, and 54% of furloughed workers are worried about their future work prospects.

As the Job Retention Scheme begins to taper over the next few months, with a proposed end on the 31st October, Downing Street, the Treasury and the Department for Work and Pensions are looking at ways of retraining workers. Other considerations include a wage subsidy to encourage firms to take on apprentices and suggestions of a four-day working week.
