Some of the UK’s largest employers have signed up to the mental health at work commitment which strives to improve mental health wellbeing in the workplace. Lloyds Banking Group, Unilever, Deloitte and John Lewis Partnership are among some of the names which have pledged this commitment.  Outlining their intentions in an open letter to The Times, the signatories to the scheme state:

“If every employer in the country signed up and took action, we could have a meaningful impact on millions of employees across the UK.”

The importance of being able to discuss mental health issues at work can not be underestimated as two in five workers, polled in a recent survey, said they had suffered work-related mental health issues in the past year.
