Legal action against Volkswagen over the emissions scandal could be triggered this week. A three-day hearing at the High Court in London starts on Tuesday to decide whether to approve a group litigation application by two law firms. If a class action against the German carmaker goes ahead it would be the biggest in UK history, with around 60,000 Britons having signed up to the group litigation order so far. The High Court hearing will also decide to appoint as lead lawyers.
