Mortgage lending at five year high

Data from the Bank of England shows that mortgage lending is at a five-year high. An increase thought to be owing to the stamp duty holiday extension. Home buyers borrowed £6.2bn last month, and 87,000 mortgages were approved in February, one of the highest numbers since 2007.
