Uber agrees to pay their workers minimum wage, holiday pay and pensions

The ride-hailing  app Uber have agreed to pay its drivers a minimum wage, holiday pay and pensions. Drivers will now earn at least the UK’s National Living Wage of £8.72 an hour. This will sit alongside free insurance to cover sickness, injury and maternity and paternity payments which have been available to drivers since 2018.
